La Raison d'etre.....

Well here I am blogging for the first time ever!  I've seen and read blogs but never thought to do it myself until now.  I'm an Early Childhood Educator who runs a home daycare with my 2.5 year old daughter.  This blog will be my attempt to share our day to day with you so perhaps you can get ideas, but mainly it's for me to stay on track and stay motivated to come up with a new and exciting ideas to do every day with the kids.  Along with my daughter I also care for a 20 month old and a 3 year old.  Finding ideas that all age groups enjoy has been a real challenge for me.  Before I had my daughter I worked in a daycare centre but the age differences were not very prominent so everyone was more or less on the same page.  Bringing out art supplies for a 3 year old can be a challenge when the youngest child in your daycare wants to eat the crayons and glue!  Many other people who run daycares seperate their kids but it's not something I like to do.  I mainly want to find stuff that appeals to everyone.  Lately this has meant a lot of collage projects.  Don't get me wrong I love collage and so do the kids but it can get boring after a while.
